BACKGROUND: In 2016, the Kennett Holiday Village Market was initiated by Kennett Township supervisor Whitney Hoffman who wanted to bring the essence of vibrant European Christmas Market to the Kennett area. The goal of the Holiday Village Market to give local and regional artisans an opportunity to sell their wares, to provide visitors another great reason to visit Kennett Square and to highlight the revitalization of the Birch Street corridor.
The Kennett Holiday Village Market is a partnership between Historic Kennett Square & site host the Creamery of Kennett Square. These partners have hired Kennett Square resident & artisan Meredith Langer (of Merely Mere) to help create & curate this event.
The Creamery of Kennett Square is a project of the Square Roots Collective. Square Roots Collective is a collection of social enterprises that join in advancing our community toward an ecosystem in which everyone can thrive. This includes for-profit businesses, non-profit ventures, formal and informal partnerships and associations with likeminded organizations – all united by a commitment to the holistic thriving of Kennett Square.
